Databank Journal on District Banking Profile of North East India – A Comparative Analysis: Volume (I)

This issue of the NEDFi Databank Journal titled “District Banking Profile of North East India: A Comparative Analysis (Vol-I)” provides a comprehensive assessment of the banking landscape across districts of the North Eastern Region. Based on the latest available data from the Reserve Bank of India, the publication analyses the distribution of commercial bank offices, ATM networks and Credit-Deposit ratios across urban, semi-urban and rural areas. It highlights variations in banking outreach, infrastructure and credit availability among districts, while presenting growth in key banking indicators across the region.

This volume covers 132 districts of the North Eastern Region and provides comparative insights into the banking landscape of the region. We hope this publication serves as a valuable reference for policymakers, bankers, researchers and other stakeholders interested in understanding and contributing to the development of the North Eastern Region.
